This weekend, supporters of public media gathered on the National Mall for the Million Puppet March in response to Mitt Romney’s confession to pull the plug on PBS funding during this fall’s presidential debates.
The march took place yesterday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting in Lincoln Park and ending at the Reflecting Pool.
The New York Daily News reported that about 1,000 people showed up for the fight for public broadcasting, shouting group chants like “EL-MO! We won’t go!” and “Power to the puppets! We can save the muppets!”
